The Queen Victoria Seaman`s Rest at Felixstowe is one of many organisations including the Port of Felixstowe that looks out for the well-being of Seafarers. QVSR - Felixstowe offers the simplest of support which is usually just a break from the ship routine right through to full on support which may involve spiritual, ship mediation or help to contact home.

Here are links to transport from Felixstowe and Ipswich. There are 4 buses from Felixstowe to Ipswich 75, 76, 77 and 77A. The closest buses to the FHPSS centre are the 77 and 77A it is a 5-minute walk along Carr road our staff will point you in the right direction.The journey time will take anywhere between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes (approx fares) depending on traffic so allow plenty of time on return.
The faster route is by train (£4.60 approx Return) it takes approx 28 minutes and does not suffer from traffic congestion. The only drawback is, it takes over 40 minutes to walk from the FHPSS Centre or £5.50 - £6.50 in a taxi or you could catch the bus to Felixstowe train station.
For London (liverpool street), you need to catch the connecting train from Ipswich train station.
National Express (coach) is the cheapest mode of transport to connect to London and takes 3 hours to 4 hours. There is only one coach a day and leaves Great Eastern Square Felixstowe at 0835 Mon - Fri and 0855 Sat & Sun.
Take the bus from Carr Road to Ipswich Old Cattle market you still have a 15-minute walk to Ipswich train station.

The coach is the cheapest option but only 1 coach leaves Felixstowe daily and you would need to change at least once. Trains are the next best economical solution and they run more frequently. Again you would need to change at least once. The more expensive option is the taxi but is the quickest option ring for a quote.
